Last night, the SLUA board met and discussed the Covid-19 pandemic. After much deliberation and consideration, the concern about social distancing became the primary issue. Without having any idea of when they will lift that requirement, the board voted to cancel all the scheduled SLUA leagues for this summer.
We are all very disappointed but delaying the decision would delay the inevitable and safety is the number one concern. Rest assured, if there is any change in the situation that will allow safe Ultimate, we will immediately move to create league play.
Until then, we recommend refraining from any close sport play including ultimate until field safety can be ensured.
We welcome your feedback and look forward to a day we can play the game we love with our Ultimate friends in the SLUA community.
Stay Safe,
